SEC Shares Plans for XBRL in a Round-table Xtalks.com On Demand Archive
Toronto, ON (PRWEB) May 4, 2008 -- David Blaszkowsky of the SEC will present the current status of XBRL with the SEC live on April 17. The SEC has been testing XBRL format and the underlying technology for over 2 years via a Voluntary Filing Program (VFP). All indicators strongly point towards an eventual SEC mandate for companies to file using XBRL technologies.

Following Adobe Systems, Mark Bolgiano, President & CEO of XBRL-US, will review how his organization is helping companies stay abreast of compliance with the latest taxonomies, preparer's guides, etc.
Jay Chandran, a partner in SimpleX Data Technologies who has supported Adobe through their process, will be in attendance to answer questions and provide follow-up for companies on resources out there to help in their process.
